At OnderOns you can play badminton at any level: competition, recreational, and in the youth division.
We offer the opportunity to play recreational badminton three nights a week: on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Have you never held a racket before? No problem, on Monday and Wednesday nights there is always somebody present to explain the basic rules to you. Also, there is the possibility to participate in trainings to improve your technical and tactical skills.
Are you already somewhat more experienced? OnderOns have over one hundred recreational players to play entertaining matches with.
If you have any questions about recreational badminton at OnderOns, drop in on a Monday or Wednesday night, or send an e-mail to Aad van Veen (board member representing the recreational players) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On Friday mornings from 9.30 to 12.00 a group of enthusiastic recreational players plays badminton at OnderOns. The average age of this group is somewhat higher, so for these club members speed and performance are not paramount and the emphasis is rather on sociability. Thus it is customary here to drink coffee together halfway through the morning. Before the break we play according to a rotation system so that everyone gets to meet each other. After the break there is free playing. We only play doubles, basically. There are voluntary trainings.
If you are interested you are welcome to play for free twice without any obligation. You can get more information about the Friday mornings group from the board member representing this group of players, Fred van der Kruk (email@example.com).
We offer badminton from 4th divison National League to 7th class Regional League. A good atmosphere and sociability are just as important as performance.
The trainings for the competition teams are on Thursday nights. Also, on Monday nights there is another selection training for a small selection of players. The training on Thursday nights is taken care of by Paul de Graaf. The training on Monday nights is taken care of by Aad van Zeijl.
The home matches of the competition teams are played on Saturday afternoons from 14.30 to 17.30. There are eight competition teams that participate in the autumn competition. In the scheduled competition weeks four or five teams play their home matches (see match calendars).
In the spring, when the above-mentioned competition has ended, there is the opportunity for players in the regional competition to register for the women’s or men’s competitions. These competitions are all about sociability and a good atmosphere.
For any questions about the competition divison please contact Cor Ririmasse (firstname.lastname@example.org).
On Saturday afternoons the youth division plays from 12.00 to 17.00. There are three training groups that are taken care of by Linda Janssen the first group 12:00-13:00, Leon Schreuders, Paul de Graaf and Arianne Reger-Verhaaf for the second and third group. Older youth members can also get extra trainings and free playing on Thursday nights from 18.30 to 19.30. This training is taken care of by Bas Dissel. In the spring, basically all youth members are divided into teams for the youth competition. A youth camp is organized every year.
For any questions about the youth divison please contact Petra Kroon (email@example.com).
Anyone who wants to become a member is allowed to play for free twice without any obligation to taste the atmosphere of playing badminton at OnderOns. If you don’t have a racket yet you can borrow one from the club. Please note that your athletic shoes shouldn’t have black coloured soles and that they should be suitable for indoor sports. You are always welcome to drop by, or you can make an appointment with Sandra Nijenstein (competition players), Aad van Veen (recreational players) or Petra Kroon (youth division).

Membership fee refund policy
If a member indicates in advance (!) that he or she will be unable to play for at least six months a refund of 50% of the membership fee for that period may be granted. The reason why you are unable to play is not relevant; this may be due to illness, being pressed at work, travelling or whatever other reason- with the notable exception of terminating your membership after this period. So you can only make use of this regulation if you will continue your membership for at least another year. To keep control of this we will refund half of your membership fee over the days that you haven’t played at the beginning of the new season only. This way we can be sure that you have indeed continued your membership. Also, this way it is easier to ascertain the total amount of refunds over the previous season so that we can process these figures in the financial results for the previous season.
Cancellation of membership
If you would like to cancel your membership you should do so before December 3st by means of a letter or e-mail to the club secretary, Pim van der Wijk (email@example.com).
